7 months ALREADY?!?!

Happy 7 month Birthday, Buddy!! He now has FIVE teeth...cut the 5th one today, actually!! He's sitting up, and has started feeding himself puffs. He scoots around in his walker like he's a seasoned pro! Won't be long and our little man won't need that walker anymore!

Trick or Treating with Mason and Gracie Noel

Kaylee Trick or Treated 3 times this year. On Thursday, I took Jayden and Kaylee to Maple Ridge to see Grandma Wickenkamp and Grandma Baxter and trick or treat there. It's inside, so that was AWESOME for mom! Friday, she went around Milo in the freezing cold (which means I froze with her), and Saturday, she went to New Virginia with Nana and Aunt Briar and a couple of Aunt Briar's friends. She's candied out for the next decade!

I haven't had a chance to post since I got back from California, so here's the
Phillips Family Update from the last 2 months!!

Jayden turned 5 months while I was in Cali...here's the 5 month shot! Thanks to Amy for taking this, since I'm sure Kevin would have forgotten!

Our Chunky Monkey at 6 months! He weighed in at 20 lbs (90th percentile) exactly and was 29 inches long (97th percentile).

The first time he sat up for more than a quick second! He was listening to Kaylee read! He really liked the story!!

Jayden is 4 months!!

17lbs and 26 3/4 in

This monthly picture thing may prove to be more of a challange than I thought!! He was super wiggily!! Out of the, oh--20 or so pictures I took, I got this semi-good one. Whew...what a chore! But well worth it!
Jayden has had a really busy month!! Lots of firsts!
He'd been slobbering like crazy for the past few weeks, but I just thought it was slobbering...nope....he's now the proud owner of TWO teeth! They came in within a day of each other. I'd like to post a picture for everyone to see, but its slightly impossible to get a camera that close to his face without him thinking it's a chew toy! :)
He's rolling. From belly to back. He hasn't quite gotten the hang of rolling back to belly yet, but he got mad enough last night and arched his back and went back over. He hates being on his back anyway, so its only a matter of time before he's using himself as a dust mop on my floors!
He took his shots like a trooper. No screaming or crying to speak of. Just a pouty lip and a couple little tears rolling down his cheek.
He's quite the talker too....or squeeker. He loves to make this high pitched shrilling noise that can break glass sometimes. Of course, we don't instigate this at all. I'm starting to think him and Kevin have their own secret squeel-lanquage.

PS...this is my super awesome Goodwill purchase....$5 for this thing!! The mirror part swings up so he can lay on his back, it has an MP3 jack on the top (what baby needs an MP3 jack anyway??) and it came with 6 toys that fit on the sides! I Googled it when we got home and its a $50 gadget new!! YAY for Goodwill!

3 month pictures

4th of July

The annual Fourth of July with the Phillips' went off without a hitch again this year!! We celebrated our Independance with a cook out with family and close friends. I left my camera in the stroller, which got put in the garage after the parade...and thus forgotten about. I did, however get one shot of Kaylee in Grandpa Phillips' car during the parade. I had my phone on hand as she breezed up the rockwall. Sorry for the pictures being a little on the dark side...at least I got pictures! Thanks trusty ol' BlackBerry!! (or PinkBerry as Kaylee refers to it!)

And I call Jayden "Monkey"...
